On a late afternoon, I decided to explore the nearby Bellvue State Park. I drive past the sign near Interstate 95 so often, that I told myself one day I'll go in. So, determined to find more pictures to take, I ventured in. To my surprise, Wilmington has yet another gem. Luckily, since it was early evening, the gate attendant didn't charge and there didn't seem to be a rush for visitors taking a stroll, walking their dogs, or even the kids horseback riding at the park's stables.
While touring I met a fellow photographer who also came to stroll the park with an SLR handy. So of course we greeted each other as photographers do...
For the area residents, I highly recommend exploring this local park.

The Hunt for Red October
On the way home from work I couldn't resist another opportunity to break out the camera. The fighting Phils are in the playoffs, and there's a lot of excitement around the Phillies' chances this year. Game 2 against Milwaukee was last night so I wanted to capture some images of the beautiful park. Sorry, I didn't have tickets (or a press pass) to get in so these are just outside shots.
These are for my friends who are big time Phillies supporters. Unlike the regular season games, there was NO ONE outside after the game started so I didn't catch the frenzy outside since I got there right at game time. For those of you familiar with the Philly skyline, you'll also notice that the whole city shows it's support by changing some of the skyline to a red theme.
Enjoy.
